Small Town – 2012

Small Town is a dive into the world of West Coast Country music with a message, or multiple messages rather. Co-produced by “The Human Revolution” bandmate, famed guitarist/instrumentalist Jeff Pevar, this album was one of the first completely Kickstarter crowdfunded albums on the block. Written on the road between California, Oregon, and Costa Rica, the songs invoke the important things in life: food, water, shelter and community. The song “Food For Life” was inspired by the international food relief organization FFL Global and explores the lives of people coping with the losses after experiencing a natural disaster. Shelter From The Rain is about being there for friends and helping them overcome addiction, while songs like ‘You Comfort Me’ and ‘You’ve Got to Love Her” are odes to that timeless exploration of love. The title track is one of longing that anyone who grew up in, or has ever lived in, a “small town” can relate to.
